FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS A "LIFE COACH"?

In short, a life coach is someone who can provide you with unconditional space to examine, unravel, and understand all of your thoughts and emotions.

As your coach, my job is to reveal things to you that you might not be aware of.  I promise to show up with zero judgement and an abundance of compassion as we work together to gain more awareness and understanding around what you are creating for yourself, so that you can begin intentionally creating the life you have always wanted to have.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COACHING AND THERAPY?

*A LIFE COACH IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR A LICENSED THERAPIST*

A therapist is a licensed professional who is trained to treat acute mental disorders and diseases. Therapists generally work with clients who are struggling to function normally in their daily lives.

A life coach works with clients who are already functioning normally but want to understand and analyze what they are doing in their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral lives. Life coaches help their clients to build a sense of empowerment over what they are creating in their lives to help them truly thrive.

In my experience, both therapy and coaching are deeply valuable and work beautifully together in tandem. One is not a replacement for the other.

WHAT THINGS CAN YOU HELP ME WITH?

The truth is that there is no part of your life that can't be positively impacted by coaching. Some common topics that come up in my coaching sessions are:

  • Self-Worth

  • Emotional Processing

  • Mental Health

  • Spirituality & Religion

  • Confidence

  • Motherhood Struggles

  • Dating, Marriage & Relationships

  • Weight Loss & Body Image

  • Past Experiences

  • Victim Mindset

  • Chronic Illness, and the list goes on...

If there is any area of your life where you are feeling stuck, I would love to help you regain a sense of hope and empowerment moving forward.

WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS?

I completed an intensive coaching certification through The Life Coach School where I was trained in the application of many proven coaching tools and concepts that are based in solid cognitive-behavioral science. I also have a degree in Clinical and Developmental Psychology with past experience working in the mental health field.

Most importantly, I practice these same tools in my own life everyday and consistently seek out coaching from other professionals to continue my own growth and forward progress. I know from personal experience the powerful impact a good life coach can have and I am constantly seeking out new skills and insight to share with my clients.
